2024-25 NBA Cup schedule revealed: Key dates, group play brackets & more

The NBA Cup will be back for the second straight year after the LA Lakers' inaugural win last season. The tournament, which was born of inspiration from in-season football tournaments, was considered a resounding success last season, with quite a bit of fan interest across the board.

With the LA Lakers looking to go back-to-back as NBA Cup champions, and the Indiana Pacers eager to return to the finals to avenge their 2023-24 loss, storylines are already being built around the tournament.

On Tuesday, the NBA announced on X, formerly known as Twitter, the national TV schedule for the Group Play round, with 17 games set to take place on National TV from Nov. 12 to Dec. 3.

The announcement comes on the heels of the league announcing which teams will compete in which group, as well as the full NBA Cup schedule, which will feature 120 games across the league.

NBA Cup Key Dates

This year's NBA In-Season Tournament will tip-off on Nov. 12, with 12 games set to take place around the league. From Nov. 12 through Dec. 3, Group Play action will take place, with round robin action as teams face off with the other four teams in their group.

From there, the top eight teams will advance to the Knockout Rounds, whch will begin with quarterfinal action on Dec. 10 and Dec. 11.

Semifinal action will then begin on Dec. 14 with the NBA Cup finals scheduled for Dec. 17 in Las Vegas, at a neutral location.

NBA Cup Groupings

Back in July, the league held the draw to decide which teams would compete in which group at the in-season tournament. While the draw was random, groups are comprised of teams from the same conference, meaning an Eastern Conference team can't match up with a Western Conference team until the knockout round.
