The 2024 NBA Draft is finally upon us, with teams looking to put the finishing touches on their draft boards ahead of round one tonight. While this year's draft class doesn't have a generational talent sitting atop draft boards like Victor Wembanyama last season, there are some intriguing names. In the case of the first overall pick, there seems to be a consensus that it's a two-man race.
Several months back, it appeared as though Alex Sarr was the presumptive number-one pick. Now, however, there have been several other players who have emerged as potential number-one picks.
At the time of publication, Sarr currently sits with the third-best odds to go number one in the draft, behind several other notable players. Currently, it is Zaccharie Risacher who has the best odds to go No. 1 in the 2024 NBA Draft with -550 odds according to FanDuel.
Sitting just behind him, we have Donovan Clingan, who sits as a +550 underdog to go to Atlanta with the first pick in the draft. Then we have Alex Sarr, a versatile player who appears to have some similarities to Victor Wembanyama with +1400 odds to go first in the draft.

Below, you can see the full breakdown of players with the best odds to go No. 1 in the 2024 NBA Draft, with Bronny James notably sitting in 10th place with +30000 odds.
Looking at where Bronny James is likely to go in the 2024 NBA Draft given current odds
As the odds make clear, Bronny James is highly unlikely to go first overall in the draft. While being the son of LeBron James has its perks, and Bronny has shown flashes of brilliance in his own right, the expectation is that he will likely fall into the second round.
Currently, on FanDuel, Bronny has +750 odds to be drafted in the first round. While the LA Lakers have the No. 17 pick in the draft, fans around the league seem to be of the mindset that he will slip into the second round, where LA could draft him with the 55th pick.
This is also reflected in the over/under for Bronny in the 2024 NBA Draft. According to FanDuel, he has -138 odds to be picked 54th or higher in the draft, and +104 underdog odds for under 54.5, indicating that fans seem to believe he is likely to go before the Lakers make the 55th pick.
In the event that Bronny is still available when the Lakers make the 55th pick of the draft, the expectation is that the team will select Bronny. While there had previously been some talk of teams taking a chance at drafting Bronny in order to potentially land LeBron James, that ship has sailed.
According to both Adrian Wojnarowski and Brian Windhorst, LeBron James' priority is no longer playing on the same team as his son. Given that, whatever team drafts Bronny in the 2024 NBA Draft will be doing so because they believe in his potential as a player.
