2024 Paris Olympics Basketball Qualifiers final results: Groups and more revealed

The list of teams competing in the 2024 Paris Olympics Basketball is set after the qualifiers. From the list of 12 teams, eight teams had already qualified based on their result in last year's FIBA World Cup. For the remaining four spots, 24 teams competed in the Olympic qualifiers, set in four different countries.

One of the winners is Greece, led by Giannis Antetokounmpo. The NBA star stood out in the final and secured a spot for his team in Paris. This sets him up to make his first appearance at the Olympics. Greece will open its Olympic gold medal quest against Canada on July 27.

In Spain, the host country defeated Bahamas to seal their seventh consecutive appearance in the Olympics. The EuroBasket defending champions won 78-86 to seal their birth and a chance to compete for the gold. They will play Australia in their first game.

Brazil defeated host Latvia, 94-69, to also book their ticket to the summer games. They will look to start their campaign on a winning note against France.

In the fourth final, the Jose Alvarado-led Puerto Rico team defeated Lithuania to seal their spot. This will be the first time they will appear in the Olympics since 2004. Their first test will be against South Sudan on July 28.

Giannis Antetokounmpo sends a message ahead of 2024 Paris Olympics

Giannis Antetokounmpo is a first-time Olympian and is ready to take his act to the 2024 Paris Olympics. The Milwaukee Bucks star helped his team defeat Croatia with 23 points, eight rebounds, and three assists.

After the win, Antetokounmpo appeared very emotional. He was seen in tears with his sons nearby. Antetokounmpo and Greece also defeated Luka Doncic and Slovenia in a tough semifinal matchup.

After the win, the two-time NBA MVP took to his X account, and made it known how he felt about making it to the 2024 Paris Olympics.

“I have never cheat the game.. See you in Paris,” wrote Giannis with a folded hands emoji.

It will not be easy for Antetokounmpo and his team to progress in the tournament, as they are in the "group of death," along with three other favorites Australia, Canada, and Spain. However, with The Greek Freak leading the way, it will also be a big challenge for their competition.
