5'8" boxer Ryan Garcia takes shot at 7′0" Karl-Anthony Towns' latest pics with GF Jordyn Woods

It has already been an eventful year for Ryan Garcia and he once again finds himself in the news due to a recent comment on NBA star Karl-Anthony Towns' Instagram post. Towns is in Japan enjoying some downtime during the offseason and shared some wholesome photos of his trip. Garcia couldn't resist responding and took a shot at the four-time NBA All-Star.

After a successful season where he helped guide the Minnesota Timberwolves to the Western Conference Finals, Towns and his girlfriend Jordyn Woods opted for some time off in the Far East. The couple can be seen wearing the traditional Japanese kimono while attending a ceremony.

While most of the comments on the post were complimentary, Garcia saw an opportunity to take a jab at the 7-footer's expense:

The comment is interesting considering Garcia is listed at 5-8 on several sites.

Garcia is coming off a turbulent few months. The talented boxer tested positive for a banned substance before his fight against Devin Haney, which he won via majority decision. That led to him being suspended for a year by the New York Athletic Commission.

In July, Garcia was charged with vandalism for apparently causing over $15,000 worth of damages at a Beverly Hills hotel. The World Boxing Council also expelled him after he reportedly used discriminatory language during a social media livestream.

Karl-Anthony Towns may have missed out on the 2024 Paris Olympics, but that hasn't stopped him and his girlfriend from staying active this summer.

Towns and Jordyn Woods were spotted in Paris attending the exclusive Hermes show in early June. Woods posted snaps of the event on her Instagram alongside Towns' Timberwolves teammate Rudy Gobert and his girlfriend Julia Bonilla.

Towns could soon start to put in work and prepare for the NBA season which is set to tipoff in October.
