Following his playing days in the NBA, Ron Harper now talks about the league regularly on social media. The former champion recently had a bold talk on a hypothetical matchup between two of the more interesting stars in history.

When it comes to the most dominant players to ever step foot in the NBA, Wilt Chamberlain is often the first name mentioned. He was a rare mix of size and athleticism in his era, resulting in him being head and shoulders above the competition.

Recently a debate broke out on X (formerly Twitter) about who today would guard Chamberlain. Some brought up Victor Wembanyama but cited he might not have the strength to match the LA Lakers legend. Giannis Antetokounmpo was then brought up, which garnered a response from Ron Harper. He doesn't like the former MVP's chances against the all-time great.

"lol get toss," Harper wrote.

Standing at nearly seven feet tall and over 240 pounds, Giannis might be the best choice to go against Chamberlain among current players. He too possesses the rare combo of elite athleticism with great size. As a former DPOY, Giannis also has the defense prowess for this dream scenario.

At the end of the day, we will never now how Giannis would fair against Chamberlain. That said, Harper doesn't have much faith in the Milwaukee Bucks superstar forward.

Ron Harper applauds son Dylan Harper for historic feat

Ron Harper is already among the group of NBA players to see his kids reach the league as well. The former Chicago Bulls guard is about to go through the experience all over again, as his youngest son is emerging as a blue-chip prospect.

Looking ahead to the 2025 NBA draft, Dylan Harper is expected to be one of the first names off the board. He continues to put up strong numbers for Rutgers, recently accomplishing something that hasn't been done in four decades.

In a matchup against Columbia on December 30th, Dylan had his best all-around game of the season. He finished with a stat line of 16 points, 11 rebounds and 12 assists in a blowout win. After recording the program's first triple-double in over 40 years, Ron Harper took to social media to congratulate his son.

"So proud of my kids but the keep 1 up on me a lot…. Congratulations"

Along with Cooper Flagg and teammate Ace Bailey, Dylan is projected to be one of the top prospects in the 2025 draft class. Most mocks don't have him making it past the first three selections.

While Ron's youngest son gets ready to enter the pros, his oldest is still finding his footing. Over the weekend, Ron Harper Jr. found a new home in the NBA, signing a two-way deal with the Detroit Pistons.
