One of five-time NBA champion Ron Harper's sons, Ron Harper Jr., recently went on social media to reminisce on the time he hit a huge buzzer-beater in his college career. In 2021, Harper was playing for the Rutgers Scarlet Knights and iced a win over the No. 1 team at the time, the Purdue Boilermakers, with a huge buzzer-beating shot.

This moment took place on Dec. 9, 2021. Harper Jr. celebrated the anniversary on Instagram. The Rutgers Instagram page also paid tribute to the NBA legend's son with a post dedicated to the game-defining moment. Harper Jr. reposted it on his Instagram stories and left a heartwarming three words:

"Miss my dawgs."

Ron Harper Jr.'s younger brother Dylan Harper blames mom for missing iconic buzzer-beater

Ron Harper's youngest son, Dylan Harper, recently expressed his thoughts on the time he missed his older brother's special NCAA moment. Like his older brother, Dylan now plays for the Rutgers Scarlet Knights, the same team that won on his dagger over the Purdue Boilermakers in 2021.

Dylan said that throughout his brother's college career, he attended the majority of his games. Unfortunately for him, one of the games he missed was the one when Ron Harper Jr. hit the buzzer-beater. Apparently, Dylan had his mother to blame for why he missed the game.

"I went to every home game basically, except for the Purdue game when he hit the game-winner," Dylan said. "That's the only game I missed. ... I had a scrimmage the day, like, right before, I'm like, 'Mom we got to go to the Purdue game.' She's like, 'No, we could watch it on TV. It's all good. We'll go to the next one,' and then he did that."

As upset as Dylan may have been, it appears that Ron finds the situation funny. He recently reacted to an Instagram post that revealed that his younger brother missed out on his big moment. Ron reposted it on his Instagram story and captioned it with two simple words:

"The irony."

Now that Dylan Harper is suiting up for his brother's former college team, he has the opportunity to carve out his own career and hope he can achieve the same success his father had in the NBA.
