LeBron James has been the face of the NBA for the last two decades. The four-time NBA champion has achieved everything in the world's biggest basketball league, making him arguably the biggest name in modern-day basketball.
So, his colossal fanbase raised concerns when he missed back-to-back games for the Los Angeles Lakers. However, King James made his grand return in Sunday's Lakers vs. Grizzlies game and helped his team win with a final score of 116-110.
LeBron James talked with the reporters after Sunday night's matchup, stating the reason behind his two-game absence.
"If it was up to just me, I probably would've played," James said. "It would've been hard to keep me away from it. I have a team and I got to listen to them as well. They look out for my best interest.

"I had an opportunity to take more days and get my mind, body and everything where I wanted it to be for tonight and it worked out."
When asked about what he did during rehab, the 20-time All-Star revealed that he had been training to maintain shape.
"A lot of rehabbing, a lot of training still to make sure that I was ready to go tonight. Didn't want to get too much out of shape."
LeBron James scored 18 points, grabbed eight rebounds and dished out eight assists on Sunday night. The Lakers star is averaging 22.8 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 9.1 assists. He is in his 21st season in the league, proving that age is just a number for him.
JJ Redick praises LeBron James for his defensive prowess after his return against the Grizzlies
After the Lakers secured the win against the Grizzlies, JJ Redick attended a post-game conference where he praised LeBron James for his defensive prowess. The Lakers coach applauded the veteran forward for his attention to detail,
"He's the best on our team with attention to detail and shifts," Redick said (via Sportskeeda's Mark Medina. "His high shift to then close, his high shift and to then get back to his man. He was great with that tonight.
JJ Redick is in his first year as head coach, having been hired by the Purple and Gold at the start of the offseason. Under his coaching, the Lakers had a good start to the season. They won six of their first ten matchups and went on a six-game win streak from Nov. 8 to Nov. 19. They have a record of 14-12 and are the 10th seed in the Western Conference.
