Team USA's exhibition game against Canada on Wednesday lived up to the pre-game hype, as the likes of Anthony Davis and others enthralled fans with their unparalleled skillsets. Team USA weathered a slow start to trounce Canada 86-72 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
While the lob connection between superstars Steph Curry and LeBron James was the highlight moment, Anthony Davis' performance off the bench was equally spectacular.
The LA Lakers superstar spearheaded Team USA's comeback. The perennial NBA All-Star dominated on both ends of the floor during his 19 minutes on the court against Canada.
Davis wreaked havoc with a double-double off the bench. The 31-year-old scored 10 points from 5-of-10 shooting and grabbled 11 rebounds. Davis, arguably one of the best defenders in the world, had four blocks and two steals.

Hoops fans were ecstatic with Anthony Davis' brilliance as they lauded him, with some even tipping him as a superior player than 2022-23 NBA MVP Joel Embiid.

Anthony Davis vs. Joel Embiid performance comparison
Joel Embiid got the nod to start against Canada on Wednesday. He struggled to find his mojo from the onset and failed to make any significant impact. On the flip side, Anthony Davis left his imprint all over the game despite coming off the bench.
Embiid was in foul trouble throughout the game before fouling out in the third quarter. The Philadelphia 76ers superstar scored five points, grabbed six rebounds and dished two assists during his 12-minute outing.
While Embiid's below-par outing left much to be desired, Davis' all-round masterclass was one of the highlights from Team USA's win over Canada.
Team USA is scheduled to play four more exhibition games before starting their campaign at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Coach Steve Kerr will have his hands full when it comes to picking the best big man between Embiid and Davis in the starting lineup.
