Lakers fans expressed their frustration with Anthony Davis after the superstar center faltered in clutch moments during the team’s nail-biting 103-99 victory over the Sacramento Kings on Saturday. With 12.1 seconds left, Davis missed both free throws after being fouled by Malik Monk on a baseline jump shot attempt.
Fortunately for Davis and the Lakers, Rui Hachimura secured a crucial tap-out rebound after the second missed free throw, leading to Austin Reaves being fouled. Reaves calmly knocked down both free throws, sealing the game for the Purple and Gold.
Despite the victory, Davis drew criticism from Lakers fans, who were disappointed with the former New Orleans Pelicans star's inability to deliver in key late-game free throw situations.
