Lakers fans were abuzz after a video surfaced on social media capturing Anthony Davis’ visible frustration with teammate D’Angelo Russell. The incident took place during the Lakers’ 97-87 road loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday.

The moment in question occurred when Russell attempted a deep 3-pointer from the logo with the shot clock winding down, only to badly miss, resulting in an airball. Standing nearby, Davis couldn’t hide his frustration. His face reflected disappointment as he glanced toward the Lakers bench, gesturing in disbelief at Russell’s questionable shot selection.

The clip quickly gained traction on X/Twitter, sparking a wave of fan reactions. While some criticized Russell for his decision-making, others defended him, pointing out that the shot clock was about to expire.

"AD: You're not Jokic, pal," a fan commented.
"He could have still rolled off that screen even though the clock was lowering. Man give us Bossman D-Low instead," commented another fan.
"AD is suddenly not happy with D'Lo literally being D'Lo??? That's great," said another.
"You know you f**in up wen AD fed up ni*ga is nonchalant lol," a user said.
"WTF did you expect? The clock was running out! I must admit he made a stupid pass with 2.7 seconds left that ended up as a buzzer beating half court 3 for Portland. Dlo doesn't GAF," said another.
"AD does dumb s**t all the time then smiles about and taps his chest but wanna get mad at everyone else. Folds against jokic and Rudy every time with his soft a**," another X user commented.

Forgettable game for D'Angelo Russell

D'Angelo Russell had a tough outing during his 20 minutes on the court against the Minnesota Timberwolves. With LeBron James sidelined, the Lakers were counting on their veteran guard to step up, but the former Brooklyn Nets star struggled to deliver.

Russell had a rough shooting night, managing just five points on 2-of-10 shooting, including a disappointing 1-of-7 from beyond the arc. He added four rebounds, one assist and two turnovers while finishing with a plus/minus of -8.

Anthony Davis, while not at his best, still put up solid numbers with another double-double performance. The Lakers’ center contributed 23 points, 11 rebounds and three blocks, shooting 10-of-21 from the field, including 1-of-5 from 3-point range.
