Following another impressive season with the Minnesota Timberwolves, Anthony Edwards continues to cement himself as a future face of the league. Fans were recently blown away after news of securing a massive off-court deal.

At the moment, Edwards is getting ready to help Team USA win a gold medal in the 2024 Olympics. However, he and his camp are still making big moves off the court. News emerged Wednesday that Edwards inked a deal with Adidas that should pay him roughly eight figures a year.

Following this news of the $42.7 billion brand signing Anthony Edwards to a large deal, fans poured in on social media with reactions. As expected, the running joke of him being Michael Jordan's son was brought up a lot.

"He is the future face of the NBA. Such a talented and exciting player to watch." One fan said.
"Face of the league soon," another fan said.
"Lifetime deal should already be given lol," said one fan.

Edwards, 22, is coming off his best season as a pro. Last season, the former No. 1 pick averaged 25.9 points, 5.4 rebounds and 5.1 assists while leading the Timberwolves to the conference finals.

Anthony Edwards debuts new Adidas colorway at Team USA training camp

As mentioned previously, Anthony Edwards will be competing for Team USA for the second straight summer. He was among the many NBA stars chosen to represent the United States in the Summer Olympics in Paris.

Over the past week, Edwards and the rest of Team USA have been holding training camp in Las Vegas. It was there the Minnesota Timberwolves star debuted a new colorway of his first signature sneaker. Given that he's playing in the Olympics, the shoe is Team USA-inspired.

Edward's first signature shoe came out in December of 2023. Since then, multiple colorways have been released. Among the other choices in his collection are "Ascent" and "The Future." Edward's shoes can be found on Adidas' website and range anywhere from $100 to $120.

Seeing that he just signed a massive extension with Adidas, Anthony Edwards is sure to have more signature shoes on the way. In the meantime, he'll be rocking his "Team USA" colorway as he attempts to add a gold medal to his resumé.

Edwards was one of Team USA's best players in the World Cup last summer, but they were unable to secure a medal. This time, he'll be part of a star-heavy roster who is the favorite to win gold. Among the players Edwards will be sharing the floor with are LeBron James, Steph Curry, Joel Embiid and Kevin Durant.
