Anna Horford has never shied away from defending her brother Al Horford from critics over the years. This time, however, she has taken aim at a much bigger target: the President of the United States.
On Wednesday, Anna shared her thoughts on Instagram regarding Donald Trump’s decision to revoke the Equal Employment Opportunity Act of 1965. In an Instagram story, she reacted to a social media post about the development with a blunt caption:
"Why would any decent person do this? WHY?" she wrote."This is what his supporters voted for. Disgusting."

Enacted by President Lyndon B. Johnson in 1965, the Equal Employment Opportunity Act prohibited federal contractors from discriminating against individuals based on sex, gender identity, race, color, religion and other protected characteristics.
Two days into his second term, Trump signed an executive order revoking the act. In a statement, the White House claimed the move would "protects the civil rights of all Americans."
Anna’s reaction on Instagram was one of several posts she shared criticizing the president's initiatives. Among them was a repost of a social media user's criticism of Trump’s plan to eliminate the U.S. Department of Education and “return” education rights to individual states.
Anna’s outspoken nature is mirrored, albeit in a more subtle way, by her brother Al. During the 2020 NBA bubble, while many players wore pre-approved social justice phrases on their jerseys, Al chose to opt out.
“Even though it’s a great platform for us to promote things, I think that maybe (you should) have the ability to say what you would want to say and leave it like that," Horford said at the time.
Anna Horford defends Al Horford's teammate in MVP conversations
Describing herself as a "writer" on her X bio, Anna Horford has been vocal about a number of topics, including MVP chatter in the league where her brother plays.
Earlier this month, when NBA TV released its list of MVP contenders, she cried foul over Jayson Tatum’s placement at No. 4:
"Only reason Jayson isn’t #1 is because you guys are f*cking haters," Anna tweeted.
Tatum leads the Celtics in scoring with 27.3 points per game.
