Dallas Mavericks forward PJ Washington posted a touching tribute to his wife, Alisah Chanel, as she celebrated her 27th birthday. Washington has always been proud of his significant other, often posing pictures or videos of her on his social media accounts. This time, he wrote a lengthy message declaring his love.

The Mavs forward isn't shy about posting his wife on social media. Alisah had just turned 27-years-old and Washington wanted everyone on Instagram to know how much he loves her.

"I always knew you were different," Washington wrote. "From the time I laid my eyes on you I knew I never wanted to let you leave my sight. You’re the most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen and you look better each day. You have always carried yourself with respect, grace, and confidence. You show up every day for me and our kids.
"You’re my Rock. I promise to always cuddle you, I promise to always kiss you everytime I leave, I promise to provide and protect you, I promise to be there mentally physically and emotionally for you, I promise be the the best partner I can. God has blessed me with so many good things but none as amazing as you. Happy birthday baby I love you 27."

PJ Washington is looking forward to playing with Klay Thompson

The Mavs added Klay Thompson over the summer and PJ Washington will have his chance at playing alongside another accomplished star. After reaching the NBA Finals last season, Dallas has another shot at having a deep playoff run with their roster move.

Following the addition of Thompson, Washington shared his excitement in playing with him.

"I think he brings a lot to our team," Washington said. "A lot of leadership. Obviously, he’s been at the top of the mountain for a while. So, I think it’s great that he’s on our team, and he gives us some knowledge as well, too."

Washington played well in the postseason. In his first postseason outing, he played 22 games and averaged 13 points, 6.6 rebounds and 1.4 assists. The former Charlotte Hornets forward knocked down 34% of his shots from downtown, which was impressive and useful for the Mavs.

Fans expect big things from Washington and Thompson as they try to contend for a title next season.
