Fresh off winning an NBA title, the Boston Celtics are primed to repeat as champions in 2025. Amid an up-and-down stretch, one former player compared them to a dynasty in another sport.
Right around the halfway point in the season, Boston is sitting comfortably in second place in the Eastern Conference with a 30-13 record. The only team ahead of them is the Cleveland Cavaliers, who have been off to a historic pace.
While they have an impressive record, the Celtics have looked a little rocky as of late. They've struggled to pick up consecutive wins in recent weeks, going 5-4 over their last nine games. Chandler Parsons talked about their play as of late on FanDuel TV's "Run It Back," comparing them to the Kansas City Chiefs.

This bold take resulted in a plethora of reactions from NBA fans online:
Some fans were left baffled by this remark, resulting in them sounding off on Parsons.
"What does Chandler Parsons know about powering through struggles?" One fan said.
"Chandler Parsons is a dumbass," another fan said.
"is he dumb?" said one fan.
Before becoming an analyst, Parsons spent nine years in the NBA before his career was cut short due to injury. He is most known for his time with the Houston Rockets but also played for the Memphis Grizzlies, Dallas Mavericks and Atlanta Hawks.
Chandler Parsons laughs at Celtics awkward encounter with Steve Kerr
While the Celtics have been up and down as of late, they took care of business in dominant fashion in their last game. Facing off against the Golden State Warriors as part of the MLK Day slate, Boston secured a 40-point victory.
In this lopsided affair, the biggest talking point was how things unfolded after the game. Most notably, Steve Kerr's awkward encounter with the Celtics stars. He approached them postgame while talking with Steph Curry, but Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum refused to acknowledge him.
Chandler Parsons and Lou Williams both reacted to this moment on Run It Back, finding the whole situation comical.
Tatum and Brown's dismissal of Kerr likely has to do with how things unfolded this summer. After taking home Finals MVP, Brown felt slighted when he wasn't selected to compete in the 2024 Summer Olympics. His feelings grew even more when Derrick White was chosen as a replacement for Kawhi Leonard over him.
As for Tatum, he did make the trip to Paris. However, his lack of playing time ended up being one of the biggest storylines. Based on their actions Monday, it looks as though the two stars forwards are holding a grudge.
