Anthony Edwards of the Minnesota Timberwolves held a basketball camp for kids in his hometown of Atlanta, Georgia, on Saturday. Apparently, Edwards did not take it easy on his campers, leaving NBA fans no choice but to compare "Ant-Man" to Michael Jordan.

In a short video uploaded on X, formerly known as Twitter, Edwards was hosting his basketball camp and playing 1-on-1 against a kid. He hit a nasty crossover move before driving to the basket for the finish, with the youngster being no match for the Olympic gold medalist.

Edwards is coming off his best season as a pro, leading the Timberwolves to the Western Conference finals. They eliminated the defending champions, the Denver Nuggets, but came up short against Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks in five games.

NBA fans compared Anthony Edwards to Michael Jordan, who has become a meme online for his "f*ck them kids" remark in 2016. Although Edwards has been compared to MJ multiple times, he has not succumbed to the pressure of it.

"Ant becomes more and more like MJ every day," one fan wrote.
"I showed my son this, first thing he said is, I bet that kid was yapping at him all camp," a fan commented.
"Dude is ruthless," another fan opined.

Others brought up Jayson Tatum's viral video wherein he had trouble scoring against a fan in China. Tatum and Anthony Edwards teamed up this summer for Team USA, winning an Olympic gold medal together.

"Jus like JT," a fan responded.
"He saw Tatum get locked up by the Chinese bum and didn't wanna risk it," one fan claimed.
"He tryna break lil man's ankles," another fan remarked.

Anthony Edwards praises Michael Jordan, shades tons of legends

Fresh off winning a gold medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics, Anthony Edwards was interviewed by the Wall Street Journal and asked to compare his generation to the older ones. Edwards drew the ire of many legends when he claimed that Michael Jordan was the only skilled player of his era in the 1980s and 1990s.

"I didn't watch it back in the day so I can't speak on it," Edwards said. "They say it was tougher back then than it is now, but I don't think anybody had skill back then. (Michael Jordan) was the only one that really had skill, you know what I mean? So that's why when they saw Kobe (Bryant), they were like, 'Oh, my God.' But now everybody has skill."

While Edwards admitted that he didn't watch 1980s and 1990s basketball, he still threw shade at many legends with his comments. Hall of Famers such as Magic Johnson and Isiah Thomas called out the Minnesota Timberwolves superstar, with the former even pointing out that Edwards hasn't won a championship.
