Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves outlasted the Dallas Mavericks 115-114 at the American Airlines Center on Wednesday night. One of the personalities on the sidelines was reigning Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter, who linked up with Edwards after the game.
In a post by the Timberwolves on Instagram, Edwards presented Hunter with his game-worn jersey and shoes. The Colorado Buffaloes cornerback and wide receiver was hyped to receive the gifts from "Ant-Man," who had knees wrapped up in ice.
Both athletes are also signed by Adidas, having their own signature shoes. Edwards has slowly turned into the face of the shoe company with James Harden nearing the twilight of his career. Hunter, on the other hand, has a collection of items that fans can wear to copy his fashion style.

With his college career in the books, Travis Hunter is set to enter the 2025 NFL Draft. The latest ESPN mock draft has Hunter getting selected second overall by the Cleveland Browns. He's expected to primarily play wide receiver as a pro with a chance to be a cornerback at certain times.
On the other hand, Anthony Edwards helped the Minnesota Timberwolves beat the Dallas Mavericks. Edwards finished the game with 21 points, five rebounds and seven assists. He was surpassed by Jaden McDaniels who dropped a team-high 27 points.
The Timberwolves improved to 23-21 for the season, jumping over the Mavericks in the Western Conference standings. They have an identical record but Minnesota currently owns the tiebreaker.
Edwards has been excellent for the Timberwolves this season but they have been struggling for consistency as a team. The Karl-Anthony Towns trade continues to look bad for Minnesota's front office considering how great KAT has been for the New York Knicks.
Anthony Edwards criticized the Timberwolves
As mentioned above, it's been a frustrating season for the Minnesota Timberwolves following their shocking Karl-Anthony Towns trade. They were coming off their second Western Conference Finals ever last season but they are barely making the Play-In Tournament spots this time.
Anthony Edwards criticized his teammates' performance in the media, which is not new for the All-Star guard. Edwards also blamed himself at times for playing poorly.
Following a loss to the Golden State Warriors last week, Edwards called out the entire starting five for being "terrible." He appealed to his teammates to "love the game" to be successful.
"The starting five, like, we are terrible," Edwards said via CBS Sports. "Every game, we come out just low-energy. The second group comes in and gives us energy. So I would say the starting group has gotta come out with more energy, like we want to play the game of basketball, like we love the game."
The Timberwolves have an upcoming two-game road trip, visiting the Denver Nuggets and Atlanta Hawks on Saturday and Monday respectively.
