The Atlanta Hawks visited the Boston Celtics at the TD Garden on Saturday night for their third matchup of the season. The Celtics decimated the Hawks 123-93 in their first meeting on Nov. 4. Atlanta then shocked the defending champs eight days later with a 117-116 upset victory in Boston.
Coach Quin Snyder used a starting lineup consisting of Trae Young, Dyson Daniels, Vit Krejci, Jalen Johnson and Clint Capela. Krejci replaced rookie forward Zaccharie Risacher, who has been listed as out for the Hawks' next two games due to a thigh injury.
Meanwhile, coach Joe Mazzulla deployed Jrue Holiday, Derrick White, Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum in their regular spots. Kristaps Porzingis and Al Horford are nursing injuries, so Luke Kornet's number was called again for the fourth time this season.
After a hard-fought contest, the Hawks pulled off a 119-115 overtime win over the defending champions. Young led the way with 28 points, four rebounds, 11 assists, two steals and two blocks. Daniels added 23 points, four rebounds and four assists.
