The Atlanta Hawks pulled off an impressive 108-100 road win against the New York Knicks in the quarterfinal of the NBA Cup. Clint Capela and De'Andre scored crucial baskets late in the fourth quarter to hold off the Knicks. Trae Young and Dyson Daniels handed out nifty assists to set up their teammates.

The Hawks turned around the game in the third quarter, dominating the hosts 34-18. Ice Trae led the charge with 12 points and five assists. Atlanta's underrated defense caused New York's offense to sputter. The Knicks tried to rally in the fourth quarter but the visitors held on for the win.

Jalen Brunson finished with 14 points on 5-for-15 shooting. He added eight assists and four rebounds but was outplayed by Young when it mattered most. Karl-Anthony Towns added 19 points, 19 rebounds, five assists, three steals and three blocks.

Atlanta Hawks vs New York Knicks Game Summary

The Atlanta Hawks visited the New York Knicks on Wednesday in the quarterfinal of the Emirates NBA Cup. De’Andre Hunter, Trae Young and Jalen Johnson led the early charge on the road as the visitors kept up with the home team.

Mikal Bridges rattled off nine points in the first quarter, while Jalen Brunson added five. Karl-Anthony Towns already had five rebounds, three assists and two steals in eight minutes. New York took a 28-22 lead after 12 minutes.

The entire second quarter was a back-and-forth battle. Atlanta repeatedly tried to get the lead, but New York held on for a 54-47 advantage at halftime.

The Hawks erupted for 34 points in the third quarter and limited the Knicks to 18. Atlanta's onslaught allowed them to take an 81-72 lead heading into the fourth quarter. Trae Young led the comeback with 12 points and five assists.

The Knicks desperately tried to rally in the fourth quarter, but the Hawks held on. Atlanta punched a ticket to the semifinals of the NBA Cup after winning 108-100.
