Bam Adebayo's stats against Brazil may have not jump off the page, but the forward was a key figure in the USA's victory on Tuesday. A dominant 122-87 win against the South American team in the 2024 Paris Olympics saw the Americans progress to the semifinal. After the game, the 27-year-old was fighting a different kind of battle, with the Miami Heat's X account.

After the Heat had posted an image of Adebayo's quadruple single (three points, five rebounds, three assists and two steals) against Puerto Rico in the group stage, Bam called out the team's admin:

"Y’all didn’t have to post my quadruple single"

Adebayo had a solid night against Brazil, finishing with nine points, seven rebounds and an assist.

Led by some stellar shooting from Anthony Edwards and Devin Booker, the USA improved to 4-0 in Paris. Six different players reached double digits in scoring, but Adebayo wasn't one of them. In fact, he failed to log double digits in any category.

Nevertheless, Adebayo was grateful to the Heat's admin for not pointing it out on social media. The three-time All-Star called a truce by responding to the Heat's latest post with the famous Tiger Woods "big dog" meme.

The Heat's X account seemed to acknowledge their earlier slip-up and had a follow up message for fans:

"Nice try y’all not getting the stats from us today"

The comical exchange between the player and admin captured the attention of NBA fans, with Adeboyo and the Heat's posts getting plenty of views on social media.

This is not the first time Bam Adebayo has represented the United States at the Olympics. The Miami Heat star was a member of the team that won gold at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo, beating France 87-82 in the final.

Adebayo is yet to start a game at the 2024 Paris Olympics but has been a vital piece of Steve Kerr's rotation. The six-foot-nine center/forward has been a key contributor on the boards and has made his presence felt on the defensive end, averaging 8.5 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.8 assists over four games.

Team USA will play Serbia in the semifinal on Thursday. Bam Adebayo and his teammates are two wins away from a historic fifth straight Olympic gold medal.
