Karl-Anthony Towns’ woes during Game 3 of the Western Conference finals series brought forth a range of reactions from the NBA fraternity. It comes after the 28-year-old big man produced 14 points and 11 rebounds in a game that the Minnesota Timberwolves lost 107-116.
In a poor shooting performance across the board, Karl-Anthony Towns went 5-18 from the field and 0-8 from the three-point zone, and missed his first seven shots in the first half. It rounds off a poor three matches in which KAT produced 16, 15, and 14 points respectively. That includes some eye-popping numbers,
Towns has gone 15-54 in the series thus far and has converted just three of his 22 three-point attempts. Regardless, fans have paid heed to his poor performances of late.
One fan talked about how KAT had proclaimed himself as the best big man in the league, while another brought out the quote itself:

Karl-Anthony Towns and Minnesota Timberwolves on the verge of knockout after poor Game 3 display
While KAT had an off-series without a shred of doubt, Game 3 in particular included several problematic statistics. It was the 22-year-old Anthony Edwards once again who kept Minnesota in the hunt until the fourth quarter. A consistent onslaught from Kyrie Irving and Luka Doncic meant that the game seemed to be heading to an early conclusion.
However, ANT thrust his team onto a 13-3 run to start the third quarter, which also included a picturesque dunk over Daniel Gafford. However, his team went 9-30 from the three-point zone overall and missed several shots that could easily have turned the tide in their favor.
Edwards finished with 26 points, 9 assists, and 9 rebounds, but the defeat means that the Timberwolves now need a historic turnaround to reach their first-ever NBA Finals. No team has ever fought back from a 0-3 deficit in the league’s history, with the two teams set to return to the Target Center on May 29.
The Dallas Mavericks, on the other hand, are now on the verge of making their first finals since 2011, and their third overall.
