Wrestling legend Ric Flair gave a shout-out to LeBron James following his amazing performance in Team USA's win over Germany on Monday. Flair also congratulated the four-time NBA champion for being named the United States flag bearer at the Olympics and pointed out his "what if" NFL career.

In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, "The Nature Boy" called James the greatest athlete ever and was proud of his latest accomplishment. He shared the post after the Americans' victory against the reigning World Champions.

To back his claim, Flair also put James' stats as a high school football player at St. James-St. Mary and called him the "best tight end in the history of the NFL."

"There's Always The Debate About Who’s The Greatest Athlete Of All Time. It's @KingJames. In My Mind, And Obviously In The Mind Of @StephenCurry30, Who Nominated LeBron James To Carry The Flag For The US Olympic Team. First American Male Basketball Player To Do It! FYI - He Could Have Been The Best Tight End In The History Of The @NFL! The Stats Speak For Themselves - 23 Touchdowns, Over 2,000 Yards And 100 Catches In Just 2 Seasons In High School As A Sophomore & Junior!" Flair tweeted.

LeBron James played high school football as a wide receiver from freshman to junior before sitting out his final year due to a wrist injury. James was even recruited by Notre Dame but chose to pursue basketball.

Many football experts and coaches widely thought that "King James" could have played in the NBA. With his height, he would have likely played as tight end in today's game, although he's much more athletic than most tight ends in the NFL, so he might have had a shot at being a wide receiver.

After playing heroics in Team USA's win over South Sudan with a game-winning layup, LeBron James was back it again against Germany on Monday in London. James scored the final 11 points for the Americans in their 92-88 win over the defending World Champions.

The LA Lakers star bullied his way to the paint to help preserve Team USA's record in their exhibition schedule ahead of the 2024 Paris Olympics. He finished with 20 points, six rebounds and four assists in just 18 minutes of action. He went 8-for-11 from the field, including a perfect 2-for-2 from beyond the arc.
