Lakers fans were buzzing after a video surfaced online showcasing Spencer Reaves, the older brother of Lakers guard Austin Reaves, delivering a thrilling performance in a crucial knockout game in Germany. During the Syntainics MBC's German Cup quarterfinal against Heidelberg on Dec. 7, the 28-year-old Spencer put on a shooting clinic, leading his team to emphatic victory.

Spencer finished the game with an impressive stat line of 36 points, three rebounds and one assist in just 28 minutes. He was on fire from beyond the arc, sinking 9 of 12 3-pointers to emerge as the game’s leading scorer.

Austin Reaves on growing up with Spencer Reaves

Austin Reaves recently opened up about his experience growing up with an older brother. Following the Lakers' 116-110 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies on Sunday, the guard was asked about the source of his toughness. In response, Austin shared a candid and heartfelt answer.

"My brother used to beat the sh*t out of me every day," Reaves said, as quoted by Lakers reporter Daniel Starkand. "Growing up as a little brother, you never win anything... But I wouldn't have it any other way."

Meanwhile, Austin is averaging 16.9 points this season on 43.4% shooting, including 35.7% from 3-point range. The star guard will next be in action during the Lakers' game against the Sacramento Kings on Thursday.
