"Better than Bronny": NBA fans react to former Laker Scotty Pippen Jr.'s phenomenal game to help Grizzlies make Summer League Final

Hoops fans showered Scotty Pippen Jr. with praise after he propelled the Memphis Grizzlies into the NBA Summer League final with a sparkling performance on Sunday. Scotty Pippen Jr. dropped a triple-double performance in the Grizzlies' thrilling 99-98 win over the LA Clippers at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas.

The 23-year-old's triple-double was only the sixth instance of a player notching the feat in Summer League history. The former LA Lakers player scored 23 points in 33:13 minutes on 5-of-15 shooting from the field, including 3-of-5 from the 3-point range.

Scotty Pippen Jr. grabbed 10 rebounds and dished out 10 assists during his clutch performance. He made all of his 10 free throws and recorded two steals and a block.

The basketball community was abuzz after the Memphis guard's phenomenal performance. One of the fans candidly compared Scotty Pippen Jr. to LeBron James' son Bronny James.

Scotty Pippen Jr. has embraced the big stage and after Sunday's game, the ex-Laker voiced his excitement to finally "show the world what he can do." Now, he will look to end his ongoing Summer League campaign with a title and the MVP award. Memphis Grizzlies will square off against the Miami Heat in the final on Monday.

Memphis' point guard is one of the leading contenders for the MVP award. The 23-year-old is averaging 20 points, 8.2 assists and five rebounds in five Summer League games.

He is shooting 49.2% from the field, including 41.2% from the 3-point range. The Grizzlies' guard has been equally good on defense as he averages 3.2 steals per game.
