LeBron James left his struggles behind in the first half to lead Team USA's comeback
The first half of the Team USA vs South Sudan tune-up was an abysmal showing for LeBron James and company. Anthony Davis and Jayson Tatum were yet to make a basket and Steph Curry had only made one three-pointer out of four attempts.
While he had scored a team-high 12 points and was leading the team in rebounds with five by the end of the second quarter, LeBron also had his own struggles in the first half. It wasn't his field goal efficiency that was down, instead, it was his ability to take care of the ball. In just the first two quarters, the four-time NBA MVP already had four turnovers which wasn't doing Team USA any favors.
However, those four first-half turnovers would be the only ones that LeBron would have for the rest of the game. He would go on to play mistake-free basketball in this particular department. Additionally, he would continue to lead his team across the stat sheet.
LeBron James finished the game with 23 points on an impressive 9-for-13 shooting clip. He also finished the game with six rebounds and six assists as well as hit the game-winning layup to secure the win for Team USA.
