The Boston Celtics host the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday night at the TD Garden. The Celtics are 17-4 this season and have won nine of their last 10 games heading into this contest. The defending NBA champions have dealt with a few injury issues amid this run, and that will continue to bug them.

However, that may not stop the Celtics from getting another win, especially against the Pistons, who have hit a slump lately, winning only two of their last eight games. Detroit is 9-14 entering this contest and playing on the second night of a back-to-back.

Boston Celtics Injury Report: Jayson Tatum and Jrue Holiday iffy to play

Tatum is dealing with a right knee tendinopathy injury, and Holiday has the same ailment on his left knee. Anton Watson and JD Davison are the other two players on the injury report for the Celtics, ruled out, citing G League assignments.

Tatum hasn't missed a game this season, averaging 28.4 points, 8.6 rebounds, 5.6 assists and 1.3 steals in 21 games, leading the team in all categories. Meanwhile, it will be Holiday's third absence of the year if he doesn't suit up on Wednesday. In 19 outings, he has managed 11.7 ppg, 4.2 rpg and 3.9 apg. The Celtics are 2-0 in his absence.

Holiday also missed Monday's contest against the Heat. The Celtics won that, 108-89, behind Jaylen Brown's 29 points and Jayson Tatum's 18-point, 11-rebound double-double.
