The Boston Celtics trailed for most of the game but eventually downed the spirited Indiana Pacers, 105-102 to make the 2024 NBA Finals by sweeping the Eastern Conference finals, 4-0 on Monday. The Celtics will now make their trip to the Finals once again after last making it in 2022 where they lost to the Golden State Warriors.
It was a bit of a rusty start for Boston in Game 4 as the Pacers matched them shot for shot. It all changed in the final minutes of the fourth quarter as Boston came back with Jaylen Brown having another solid outing. He ended up as the recipient of the ECF MVP.
The Pacers ended their playoff run after a deep postseason. Andrew Nembhard and Pascal Siakam led the Pacers at halftime with 16 and 13 points, respectively. It was a close 58-57 lead for the Celtics as Indiana stayed in the hunt. But their efforts proved to be futile as the visitors had their game on point as the contest entered the fourth quarter.
