Phoenix Suns star Bradley Beal has recently emerged as the league leader in a very unique stat category. Beal leads the league in most time spent tying his sneakers (64 seconds), beating second-place Jalen Suggs by 15 seconds. This amusing stat has garnered interesting responses from NBA fans on social media.
Fan reactions were mostly light-hearted as commenters expressed their views on the unique statistic. Reactions ranged from confusion as to why the stat was researched and posted at all to one fan taking the time to calculate just how much money Beal had made tying his laces on court this year - $13,662.03.
The unique stat was put together by House of Highlights, who thanked Zach Lowe for the inspiration.
"After watching several recent Phoenix Suns games," Lowe tweeted. "I have a very important question: Why are Bradley Beal's shoes coming untied multiple times per game? Some working member of the media needs to investigate. He has to lead the league in in-game shoe-tying instances per 36 minutes."

Untied shoes might be the least of Bradley Beal and the Suns' problems this season
While it's not because of his league-leading time spent tying his shoes, Bradley Beal is at the center of the Phoenix Suns trade rumors as the February 6 trade deadline approaches.
Beal's name has been attached to many different teams, but most notably to the Miami Heat, primarily because Jimmy Butler could be one of the Suns' targets. However, Beal has a no-trade clause in his contract allowing him to veto any potential trade involving him.
Regardless of what happens, fans might take more notice whenever Beal bends down to re-tie his shoes from here on out.
