With the game tied 103-103 between the New Orleans Pelicans and the Portland Trail Blazers, the Pelicans forward shot a turnaround jumper over Simons, which sealed the win for the Pelicans.

One user made a revelation in a post on X, formerly known as "Twitter." Posting the video of the game winner, the user wrote:

"Brandon Ingram hit a game winner over Anfernee Simons. Allegedly both players have a baby with the same woman."

Some fans were unable to digest such an unlikely fact. One of the fans said that if it were real, it would be one of the greatest game winners in the league's history.

"I need this confirmed. Cuz if so, this a top 3 game winner in history," a fan wrote.

"Pic of the baby mama or it never happened," the fan wrote.

Some were just loving the blend of the off-court drama with the on-court rivalry.

Brandon Ingram and Anfernee Simons' baby mama drama explained

In November 2023, the New York Post reported that the Trail Balzers' young star Anfernee Simons was expecting his first baby with social media influencer Aaleeyah Petty. Although it was definitely a great time for the Blazers player, a startling revelation was also made.

This was not the only time that Petty was having a baby with an NBA player. The post reported that Petty also shared a baby with the Pelicans star Brandon Ingram. Petty and Ingram have a son named Brenton, who is five years old.

Earlier, when Petty revealed it on her social media, many speculated that Ingram was the father of the baby. However, when Petty shared a faceless picture with the father of the baby, the tattoo on the wrist revealed that it was Simons. She also made an IG post that said "Baby Simons" in the background.

Even after the birth of the child, neither Simons nor Petty have confirmed it.
