Fans are clamoring to bring back Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark following a disastrous first half in the men's NCAA national championship game. UConn and San Diego State had a snoozefest in the first 20 minutes, with the Huskies up 34-26.

Both teams were prone to turnovers in the first half. UConn had eight, and the Aztecs had nine. San Diego State also had a terrible half shooting the ball, going 8-for-28 from the field. The Huskies were much better, shooting 50.0%.

However, fans online alluded to the women's NCAA championship final between Iowa and LSU on Sunday as more entertaining. One tweeted:

"Bring back Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark."

The women's NCAA final between the Tigers and Hawkeyes was the most watched women's college basketball game ever. ESPN announced that the game averaged 9.9 million viewers and a peak of 12.6 million viewers.

This year's ratings were an increase of 103% from last year's final. The game, which featured two of the brightest stars in women's basketball, was also the most-watched college sporting event on ESPN Plus.

Given the entertaining matchup between Iowa and LSU, as well as Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese, fans on social media were unhappy with the men's title game. They blasted the matchup between UConn and San Diego State.

The LSU Tigers prevailed over the Iowa Hawkeyes on Sunday to take home their first ever national championship. The Tigers were just too much for the Hawkeyes, with Angel Reese leading the way with a double-double in their 102-85 win.

Reese finished with 15 points, 10 rebounds and five assists, while Jasmine Carson came off the bench to score 22 points. Alexis Morris had 21 points and nine assists, while LaDhazia Williams added 20 points and five rebounds.

Meanwhile, Caitlin Clark remained unstoppable for the Hawkeyes. She finished with 30 points, two rebounds and eight assists. She broke the scoring and assist record for a single women's tournament with 191 points and 60 assists.

"I want my legacy to be the impact that I can have on young kids and the people in the state of Iowa, and I hope I brought them a lot of joy this season. I hope this team brought them a lot of joy," Clark said after the game. "I understand we came up one win short, but I think we have a lot to be proud of and a lot to celebrate. I was just that young girl, so all you have to do is dream, and you can be in moments like this."
