When one thinks of the Golden State Warriors franchise, one instantly thinks about the lasting legacy of Steph Curry. Following an exhilarating Olympic run, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported that the four-time NBA champion agreed to a one-year, $62.6 million extension with the Warriors. The deal makes him eligible to be under contract through 2026-27, resulting in strong reactions from fans.
The Warriors star previously signed a four-year, $215 million contract back in Aug. 2021. However, "The Human Torch" is already playing in the twilight years of his career at 36 with just enough left in the tank for a few more seasons.

Boston Celtics legend talked about Steph Curry's future with the Golden State Warriors
Steph Curry was drafted seventh overall in 2009, which later turned into one of the most important moves made by the franchise in its history. With Curry's remaining years being counted upon, Celtics legend Paul Pierce highlighted how he views him remaining with the franchise for as long as he can.
"He's going down with that ship," Pierce said on an episode of the Ticket & Truth Show. "It's all legacy, everything right now for him is icing on the cake. I saw Kobe, he lost his last couple years but he still went hard, didn't he? He wasn't complaining. That's Steph, he carried that in Golden State."
He has been the face of the franchise for so long that Pierce sees him entering this stage of his career as a superstar, making the most of his remaining time in the league.
