"Bro turned into LeCardio tn" - Fans smoke Bronny James after contrasting performance compared to father LeBron James

NBA fans were not particularly fond of Bronny James' performance on Sunday compared to his father LeBron James' seamless 19-point night. The LA Lakers played their second preseason game, losing to the Phoenix Suns 118-114 at the Acrisure Arena in Palm Desert, California.

Bronny and LeBron were on the court at the same time to start the second quarter.

"King James" finished with 19 points, five rebounds, four assists and two blocks, going 8-for-12 from the field all in the first half. Bronny, on the other hand, had an atrocious night with zero points, two rebounds and four turnovers in 13 minutes.

NBA fans immediately showed their displeasure at Bronny's poor performance. He is still trying to adjust to playing in the pros and Sunday night was not his best.

"This shows you how good LeBron James is…He just dropped 19 points in 16 mins. 15 in 2nd quarter alone. Plus, he got his garbage son into the NBA. GOAT stuff," a fan wrote.

"Combining for 19-7-4 for their first game together is not that bad tbh," one fan sarcastically commented.

"Giannis and Thanasis vibes," another fan joked.

Bronny James was not active on the offensive end in his second preseason game, but those four turnovers were very bad.

"LeBron contributed +9 only for Bronny to erase it with -14. I cannot 😭," a fan replied.

"Bro turned into LeCardio tn," one fan joked.

"Bronny doesn’t belong in the NBA," another fan opined.

Regardless of what critics are saying, LeBron James was excited to see his son on the court after suffering a cardiac arrest last year. James told reporters on Friday that his progress is a good thing and it will take time for him to adjust to the NBA.

Speaking to reporters after the game, LeBron James was asked about his feelings when he began the second quarter with Bronny. James said it was a surreal feeling and even likened it to being in the Matrix.

"Not real. ... It was definitely a moment that I will never forget. It's pretty cool. The moment when we came out of the timeout...and we were still next to each other, I kind of looked at him and it was like... the Matrix or something. It just didn't feel real," James said.

LeBron and Bronny's next chance of playing together is on Thursday against the Milwaukee Bucks at the Fiserv Forum. The father-son duo is expected to make this moment official once they play together in the regular season, most likely on Oct. 22 against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
