"Broke up with him" - Dwight Howard's ex-girlfriend Royce Reed claims ex-Laker cheated on her with NBA cheerleader

Dwight Howard's story with his ex-girlfriend Royce Reed, who is also the mother of his firstborn son, Braylon, is back in the media spotlight. Shortly after Howard announced his engagement to American rapper Amy Luciani, his past resurfaced.

Reed posted a long video on her Instagram, detailing how she met Howard when he was a rookie with the Orlando Magic. She also briefly discussed their relationship, which lasted a few years, and eventually revealed that the former NBA star had cheated on her.

Reed said she first met Howard at Downtown Disney while out with friends to watch a movie. She later said that later that night, she gave her number to the big man because she was in a fight with her then-boyfriend, who accused her of being with another man.

"I had said a few times that I was thinking about going back to dance and he was against it... (but) I said I have made up my mind, I am doing this," Reed said.

"Next year I said I wanted to go to Miami. I said I wanted to dance for the (Miami) Heat. That was my dream team, either there or the Dallas Cowboys, and both of those he was completely against it, I had no idea why."

She claimed Howard suggested she audition for teams other than the Heat or Cowboy.

"I auditioned for the team, I make it and after a couple of weeks there were a group of girls that were treating me weird and I don't know why. Well, I had a finding out that he had cheated on me with one of my teammates, who used to live in Texas and now was coming to the Heat."

"Anyway, broke up with him and was trying to live my best life y'all. I ended up getting in argument with one of my best friends on the team... So I got suspended for two weeks."

Reed said that after her suspension, she traveled to Mexico with a DJ friend. Upon her return, she met with Howard at a hotel, where he apologized. She also revealed that she became pregnant that same night.

Dwight Howard responds to ex-girlfriend Royce Reed threatening to expose him

Royce Reed appears to be on a mission to expose expose Dwight Howard. She launched a new Instagram account with the username "@ihadababybysuperman" to share details about her relationship with the 2025 Hall of Fame nominee.

In her first post, Reed warned Howard that she would expose him.

"You tried to drown me in attorney fees to keep quiet?! F**K YOU! I refuse to go into 2025 carrying this weight so let’s go! Imma post the texts and emails too if you keep playing with me and calling my bluff! I know about way more than you think I do so imma leave the initials R.E. to let you know it’s ON!"

When The Shade Room asked Dwight Howard for his comment on Reed's threats, he responded diplomatically. The 2020 NBA champion said he was focused on positive developments in his life and wished Reed well.

"This is my HOF year. I’m getting married. God is amazing. And I’m so grateful and I wish Royce nothing but the best peace and (blessings)," Dwight Howard told TSR.

Dwight Howard is one of the candidates nominated for the 2025 Hall of Fame. The final list of inductees will be announced in February.

Howard got engaged to his American rapper girlfriend Amy Luciani earlier this month. While the couple has not announced a wedding date, Howard confirmed the ceremony will take place in 2025.
