Bronny James drops 2-word reaction after linking up with $19,907,925 former high school teammate 

Lakers rookie Bronny James linked up with one of his former Sierra Canyon teammates, Ziaire Williams, after Friday's 102-101 win over the Brooklyn Nets. Bronny and Ziaire played together in 2019-20 during the latter's senior year in high school. He committed to Stanford a year later and was drafted by the Memphis Grizzlies in 2021 as the 10th overall pick.

Since then, Ziaire has played against Bronny's father, LeBron James, several times in the NBA. It was the first time Ziaire and Bronny linked up as NBA players after the Lakers' second-round pick made it to the league this season. The duo exchanged an embrace after the game and gave each other social media shoutouts on IG.

Ziaire posted their pic, saying:

Bronny reshared that story on his profile with a two-word message.

"My guyyy," he wrote.

Ziaire Williams is on a four-year $19,907,925 rookie scale contract. He spent the first two years of his career on the Grizzlies before getting traded to the Brooklyn Nets last summer. He's a starter in Brooklyn, averaging 9.7 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.0 steals per game, shooting 41.5%.

Williams finished with 13 points on Friday against Bronny James' Lakers. He added four rebounds and three assists, shooting 5 of 13, including three 3s.

Meanwhile, Bronny James collected another DNP for the Lakers. The 55th pick is still far from becoming a rotation player in LA, spending most of his time with the South Bay Lakers as part of his developmental program.

Bronny James revisits Sierra Canyon with girlfriend and family

Bronny James revised Sierra Canyon on Thursday with his girlfriend, Parker Whitfield, and his entire family, including his father, LeBron James, mother, Savannah James and sister, Zhuri James, for his younger brother Bryce James' senior night.

Bryce has committed to Arizona for the 2025 season, choosing a different path than Bronny, who stayed in LA and committed to USC after his high school career.

Bronny was a highly rated prospect coming out of high school. He averaged 14.2 ppg, 5.5 rpg, 2.4 apg and 1.9 spg in his senior year. Bronny also made the McDonald's All-American team. Bronny hasn't reached those levels since after an unfortunate health scare in August 2023 when he had a cardiac arrest at USC's campus.

It derailed Bronny's progress, impacting his performance during his lone college season and start to his NBA and G League career.
