Gilbert Arenas' ex Laura Govan belatedly paid a birthday tribute to their daughter Izela Arenas on New Year's Eve, posting photos of them bonding throughout the years on social media. Among those who reacted to the post was the father of Bronny James' girlfriend, Parker Whitefield.

Govan, a TV personality who shares four children with Arenas from their 12-year relationship, shared a carousel of photos of her and Izela in her Instagram profile as she gave tribute to her daughter on the occasion of her birthday on Dec. 24.

She highlighted her love for her eldest child with a touching caption:

Izela, 19, is a freshman for the Louisville Cardinals (8-5) averaging 4.3 points and 1.4 rebounds in 12 games. She was born on Dec. 24, 2005, and starred for Sierra Canyon School in Los Angeles. Izela has three younger siblings: Alijah, 17; Hamiley, 15; and Aloni, 13.

Laura Govan not on good terms with ex Gilbert Arenas

A decade after they called it quits, Laura Govan and Gilbert Arenas are still not on good terms, which she highlighted in an interview with Carlos King in October.

The 45-year-old Govan, who appeared on "Almost Amazing" and "Basketball Wives LA," talked about how her relationship with her ex has worsened over time.

"Because now he uses the children," Laura Govan said (Timestamp: 38:57). "Because now he knows how to manipulate it because he can't directly bother me right now.

"So, he knows how much I love my children, but here's the thing: He also knows is that I love my children more than I hate him, so he attacks the motherhood side of it. He's just done a lot. He's done a lot. He's the devil who's busy at work and I fight it every day."

Laura Govan and Arenas met in 2001 and the following year made their relationship official. They got engaged in 2008 but never got married before they decided to go their separate ways in 2014.
