Bronny James and the South Bay Lakers went up against the Cleveland Charge in consecutive games over the weekend. It was an exciting series for James as he not only got to play in his hometown but also played well against them. Despite all the positives, Bronny's return to Cleveland wasn't as good a feeling as it was when he returned in LA Lakers colors earlier this season.

James reflected on what he thought about playing in his hometown again as part of the G League team and what he thought about his performances.

“It’s been pretty good,” said Bronny. “Play my game, play my best and try to learn from every time I step on the floor, get those reps in. Most importantly just trying to get better as a person and a player.
"I know I can play smart," Bronny continued. "So just being aggressive while playing smart, but that’s a thing that I should focus on every time I play. It worked [last Saturday]. Also, just getting on the boards too. I know that helps my team a lot.”

Despite the criticism he's received since entering the NBA, Bronny James has proven his worth in his most recent games against the G League's Cleveland Charge. The G League isn't exactly everyone's dream to play in. However, it is a good platform for up-and-comers to hone their abilities and hopefully use everything they've learned in the NBA.

With that in mind, it appears that LeBron James' eldest son has done a fantastic job of using his time in the G League to work on his game.

In their first game against the Charge last Friday, Bronny James had an all-around performance with 15 points, seven rebounds, six assists and four steals. Then, the following day, James took over once again, adding 23 points, nine rebounds and five assists.

Unfortunately for the South Bay Lakers, they lost both games. Nevertheless, Bronny James' two successful performances are an indication of his growth. This serves as a good sign, which means that it'll only be a matter of time until the LA Lakers can get him more involved with a bigger role.
