Bronny James continued his G League stint with the South Bay Lakers after appearing in Saturday's game against the Osceola Magic in the Winter Showcase. LeBron James' eldest son and the Lakers' 55th pick came into the contest expecting another high-scoring effort. However, the South Bay Lakers had different plans for him in this contest.
Bronny seemed to have a lower usage rate on offense in the first half. The 20-year-old made three shot attempts. Bronny scored two points on one of three shots, including 0-for-1 from 3. He added two rebounds and assists each but had three turnovers.
South Bay led 57-43 at the half behind DaJuan Gordon's 17 points on 7 of 10 shooting.
Bronny James didn't improve his scoring production much in the second half. With Davonte' Graham (24 points), Gordon (27 points) and Olivari (18 points) in a much better rhythm, Bronny deferred and focused more on making plays. He racked up five assists while scoring four points.
Bronny ended the game with six points, seven assists, four rebounds, one steal, one block and six turnovers. He shot 3 of 7 and missed all his 3-point attempts and his only free throw. The South Bay Lakers won 120-104.
