Bronny James and the South Bay Lakers visited the Cleveland Charge on Friday. The LA Lakers rookie started again and struggled in the early going. He went 2-for-6 in the first quarter and committed to turnovers. South Bay led 36-30 at halftime.

The former USC guard had more impact in the second quarter. Although he struggled to score, his playmaking and defense helped his team. However, the Charge took control of the game and carried a 64-58 advantage heading into the second half.

Bronny James had his best stretch in the game during the third quarter. LeBron James’ son had three points, three rebounds, three assists and two steals in the quarter. The No. 55 pick in the 2024 NBA draft helped push his team back to the top. South Bay held a slim 97-95 edge after the third period.

James sustained his two-way impact in the final quarter. The Lakers, however, couldn’t hold off the home team from storming back to the front. Cleveland, behind a balanced attack, won the game 125-113.

"Trade Gabe DLO and play Bronny"

"He has to be in consideration for ROTY and MVP."

Leading to the game on Friday in Cleveland, Bronny James is averaging 13.4 points, 3.9 assists, 3.4 rebounds and 1.1 steals in 26.9 minutes per game. James has been putting up solid numbers for the South Bay Lakers but has not played well in the NBA.
