Bronny James received playing time during the Lakers' 119-102 win over the Atlanta Hawks at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on Friday. With the Purple and Gold comfortably in control in the final two minutes, coach JJ Redick gave the rookie his opportunity, sending him into the game.

As has been the case throughout this season, Bronny's playing time has primarily come during garbage time, with the game's outcome already decided.

LeBron James' son entered the game with less than two minutes remaining, drawing an enthusiastic response from the crowd as they rose to their feet when he approached the scorer's table.

In his brief stint, the former USC guard attempted one shot but was unable to convert. Despite not scoring, Bronny made his mark on the stat sheet by recording an assist during his 1:41 on the court.

Bronny returned to the court for the Lakers after missing the team’s last nine games. Prior to the matchup against the Hawks, LeBron’s son last appeared for the Purple and Gold in their 107-98 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers on Dec. 8.

In that game, Bronny logged three minutes of playing time, attempting two shots but failing to convert. However, he made his presence felt on defense by recording a block against the Blazers.

Bronny James has been playing well in G League

After a slow start to his professional career with the Lakers and struggling to make an impact for the South Bay Lakers in the NBA G League, Bronny James has recently found his stride.

The young guard has been delivering impressive performances for the South Bay Lakers and is steadily building his confidence.

Looking at his G League stats, the Lakers rookie is averaging 19.0 points per game while shooting 41.9% from the field, including an impressive 46.2% from beyond the arc. Additionally, he is contributing across the board with averages of 8.0 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 2.0 steals per game.
