Bronny James dropped a career-high 30-point game for the South Bay Lakers in Thursday's road game against the Valley Suns, his best score since turning pro. Bronny was off to a rough start to his pro career, but he silenced his critics for the time being with a monumental effort.

He looked poised and confident from the get-go, scoring eight points in the first two minutes alone, making his first two 3s. Those were also his first two made shots from deep in the G League and NBA combined. Bronny tallied 13 points in the first half on 5 of 7 shots, including 3 of 3 from deep.

He improved his scoring further in the second half with 17 points. Bronny scored on all three levels and was efficient defensively, too. The Lakers' second-round pick left fans stunned with his 30-burger.

One fan comically pointed out that LeBron James, who is away from the Lakers, citing 'personal reasons,' possessed his son's body.

"That’s why LeBron on break he’s possessing Bronny," the fan wrote.

Another fan said LeBron would come off his social media hiatus after Bronny's 30-point effort.

"Bronny Went Off LeBron Gone Come Off His Social Media Hiatus"
"THE PRINCE HAS ARRIVED," one fan wrote.

One fan said it was time for Bronny James to make the Lakers lineup instead of Gabe Vincent.

"I’ve seen enough. I need bronny in the line up and Gabe Vincent out of there"

Bronny James' recent explosion proves his theory right

Bronny James was aware of his initial struggles in his pro career. He spoke about getting comfortable and raising his confidence after a below-par showing in preseason.

"I feel good. The numbers could be better. I just got to get my confidence up," Bronny said on Oct. 15

He came into the NBA after a limited rookie season at USC, where he played 25 games, making six starts, averaging 4.8 points, 2.1 assists and 2.8 rebounds. Bronny played his only college season after a significant health scare.

He dealt with a cardiac arrest in August 2023 during a practice session, which delayed his college debut. That majorly derailed his game and rhythm when he returned, and it took him some time to shrug that off. It has been visible over his past two G League games as Bronny James has recorded consecutive career-high scores.

On Dec. 7, he scored 16 points against the San Diego Clippers before nearly doubling that tally in Thursday's 30-point game against the Valley Suns.
