NBA fans had a lot to say about Bronny James' spot in the league after one fan mentioned Anthony Rubio, the son of politician Marco Rubio, and his place on the Florida Gators, one of the most iconic programs in college football. More specifically, this account mentioned that Rubio is listed as 5'9" with 165 lbs and never started for his private high school team.

"Want to see nepotism and a DEI? Meet Anthony Rubio, the son of @marcorubio. He plays for the Florida Gators. He’s a 5’9 165 running back who is on the team despite not even starting for his private high school team. We know why."

NBA fans compared this situation to that of Bronny, with some agreeing that neither player should be where they are right now.

"Bronny James sucks and so does this kid, glad you can see both don’t belong," one fan said.
"Same reason the Lakers drafted Bronny," another fan said.
"Explain Bronny James. Your hatred for politicians is clouding your judgement," another fan said.

The criticism of LeBron James' son continued, and even the LA Lakers superstar caught some strays during this discussion.

"That’s college football. LeBron James‘s son is in the damn NBA. Delete this post," one fan said.
"He scored in a bowl game. You don’t see the field unless you can play…. Bronny James avg 4 points a game after 1 yr of college and got draft to the NBA 🤨," another fan said.
"Now do Bronny," another fan uttered.

Former NBA star wants Bronny James to stay in G League

After showing a much better face in some of his G League games, James caught some attention from people who agreed that he should stay longer in the competition to keep developing his game. Former NBA star Chandler Parsons insisted that the Lakers should extend James' stay in South Bay so that he can continue his growth.

"This isn’t the business of pleasing LeBron James, it’s the business of winning basketball games," Parsons said. "Bronny James won’t help the Lakers win basketball games right now. But he can help the G League team win basketball games, and he can help his career and slowly come along and develop."

Bronny has shown a much better level in the G League, even surpassing the 30-point threshold. If he finds consistency, it won't be long before fans see him back with his father in the NBA.
