Fans criticized Bronny James after an underwhelming stat highlighted the Lakers rookie's tough start to the preseason. Bronny has played in all three preseason games but has yet to make a significant impact. The former USC guard has struggled in nearly every aspect of the game, except for his hustle on defense.
Bronny James currently holds the lowest plus/minus among all 494 players who have logged minutes through the first three preseason games.
Basketball fans were far from impressed after the recent stat underscored Bronny's ongoing struggles. One fan even boldly suggested that Bronny's career could end before his father LeBron decides to retire from the NBA.

"At this rate, Bronny will retire before Bron."
Several fans claimed Bronny James was drafted primarily due to his father LeBron, arguing that the former USC guard lacks the talent to compete at the NBA level.
"FUCKING GARBAGE. ONLY THERE BECAUSE DADDY. How embarrassing in all seriousness?," a fan wrote.
"Shocking his dad sacrificed all the hate bronny gonna get this year so he can say I played with my son," commented another fan.
"Feel bad for the kid. Should still be enjoying developement in college ball, and would still be getting paid with NIL," wrote another X user.
"Bronny James is not an NBA caliber player right now, it’s not fair that his Daddy is trying to force this to just to feed his own ego," opined a fan.
One fan argued that Bronny should have spent an additional two years playing college basketball before entering the NBA draft.
"Not trying to hate on the young fella but he is not NBA ready .. should have transferred another college and play a couple years .. now most likely he will be playing in the G league good luck Bronny."
Bronny James through three preseason games
Bronny James' preseason numbers have been underwhelming. The rookie guard is averaging 11.9 minutes and just 0.7 points per game, with a dismal 9.1% shooting from the field and no successful 3-point attempts. Additionally, he's averaging one rebound, 0.3 assists and 1.7 turnovers per game, leaving much room for improvement.
Bronny will have another chance to silence his critics and showcase his potential when the Lakers take on the Golden State Warriors in their upcoming preseason game on Tuesday.
