Matas Buzelis took to Instagram stories to show case his Air Jordan 1 Low x Travis Scott 'Black Phantom' sneakers. The Chicago Bulls rookie touched down in Miami and posted a picture of his sneakers, pairing it up with white socks and red joggers. Priced at $150, the black kicks was released in 2022 and has been one of the more trending pair of shoes since.

And Buzelis is one of the fans who has copped a pair for himself.

Buzelis comes off a decent Summer League campaign. The No. 11 pick of this year's draft class averaged 16.4 points on 33.7% shooting from the field, 21.4% from the deep, 4.2 rebounds, 0.8 assists, 2.0 steals, and 2.0 blocks per contest. He will be part of a young Chicago frontcourt for the upcoming 2024-25 season.

While it is too early to decide whether Matas Buzelis can be a starter for the Bulls, there are aspects to his game that make him a consideration to be slotted in the starting five. His dunking, aggressive driving to the rim, and defiant attitude are pros, while his three-point shooting and erratic defense needs work for him to find a berth with the first five on the floor.

In an earlier interview with The Athletic's Shams Charania, Matas Buzelis threw down the gauntlet as he called out the 2024 NBA Draft's No. 1 pick Zaccharie Risacher.

"Of course, I want to see him one-on-one. He just doesn't want to do that with me," he told Urbonas. "His agent will not do that with me, and I know he won't. It's a business decision. ... My advantage is that I have everything over him."

The Summer League saw Buzelis post better numbers after his subpar season with the Ignite. In 26 games, he averaged 14.3 points and 1.9 assists, along with 2.1 turnovers. He also shot just 27.3 percent from the three-point range.

Soon after the draft, Matas Buzelis, a Derrick Rose fan was visibly emotional as he was drafted by his hometown team. He vowed to put in the work and "give it his all". Only time will tell how his rookie season pans out the Bulls look to rebuild and get back to playoff contention.
