Nigerian rapper and singer Rema was one of three performers at the 2023 NBA All-Star Game halftime show. The "Calm Down" singer put on a power-packed performance alongside other Nigerian artists Burna Boy and Tems.
Pascal Siakam, who is from Cameroon, introduced the three artists to start the halftime show. Rema first gained mainstream attention with his song "Dumebi" before "Calm Down" went viral last year. He even released a remix of "Calm Down" with Selena Gomez.
The 22-year-old musician was nominated for a BET Award in 2020 for Best International Act. He was recently named the Digital Artist of the Year by Soundcity MVP Awards.

Burna Boy and Tems also performed at the 2023 NBA All-Star Game halftime show. Burna Boy rose to stardom in 2012 with his hit single "Like to Party" from his debut album "L.I.F.E." He was nominated for a Grammy Award in 2020 for Best World Music Album.
Meanwhile, Tems is a rising star in the music industry. She featured on Wizkid's 2020 single "Essence," which earned her first Grammy Award nomination for Best Global Music Performance. Her career took off last year after being associated with artists like Future and Drake.
Tems also won her first Grammy Award for Best Melodic Rap Performance for "Wait for U." She was also nominated for the Best Rap Song for "Wait for U."
Post Malone, 21 Savage perform before 2023 NBA All-Star Game
Post Malone electrified the crowd at the Vivint Arena before the 2023 NBA All-Star Game in Salt Lake City, Utah. He opened his act with his hit song "Wow." before bringing 21 Savage to join for their Billboard No. 1 hit "Rockstar."

The New York-native became popular in 2015 with his hit song "White Iverson," which was a tribute to NBA legend Allen Iverson. He was inspired to write the song after getting his hair braided and thought that he looked like a "white Iverson."
