The Chicago Bulls had their annual media day on Monday, with fans getting a glimpse of the returning and newcomer faces on the team. However, they weren't apparently too pleased with players partaking in a TikTok trend after it was shared by a fan on X, formerly known as Twitter. Coming off another disappointing season, the fanbase was quick to set out its thoughts on some lighthearted energy.

Last season, the team finished ninth in the Eastern Conference standings. They were able to make the play-in tournament but came up short of securing a final spot in the playoffs. They enter this season with a revamped roster, from the return of Lonzo Ball to the acquisition of Josh Giddey from the OKC Thunder. But it seems Day 1 of Chicago's practice camp hasn't gone well with fans.

"Yeah this team is COOKED," the post read.

Following the tweet, several fans shared their reactions on the platform.

"Can you imagine Jordan, Pippen, Rodman and Luc Longley doing this?"

Several X users were disappointed in how their favorite franchise has gone past the glory days of Michael Jordan. Meanwhile, one fan envisioned another lackluster regular season with a subpar finish in the league standings.

"As a Bulls fan from the 90s, Jordan would have had all these guys removed from the team," the fan posted.
"They are going to be a bottom five seed as expected. Half these dudes are still college/graduate school age, they acting like their age," the fan posted.
"These are the Chicago Bulls? What has happened to my team?" the fan posted.
"Someone bring hope to the Bulls! We need a championship, this is getting scary lol," the fan posted.

Bulls fans have been starving for their favorite franchise to make some promising progress in its rebuild stage after seasons of being stuck with the same results by the end of a season.

Bulls coach talks about maximizing strengths of guard play

Last season, the Chicago Bulls finished 19th offensively (114.0) in the league. Coach Billy Donovan acknowledged that the team is not built to go shot-for-shot with prominent 3-point shooting clubs. However, he revealed his intent on utilizing the team's guard play for their success this season. CHGO Sports' Will Gottlieb shared Donovan's Media Day comments.

"There were games we walked into with teams taking an enormous amount of three-point shots," Donovan said, "and we're not able to keep up at that rate. ... We have some talented back court players, but they're only effective with the ball in their hands.
"What kind of sacrifices can we make individually, where we're not going to have one guy with the ball in his hands all the time."

With the presence of several playmakers on the roster, Donovan could strengthen the team's offense by making sure each guard can make the right reads on the court. With Lonzo Ball and Josh Giddey being skilled at running an offense, the team is tougher to guard with two capable playmakers.

It also lessens the playmaking load of one guard, as Donovan can distribute the responsibilities equally.
