Phoenix Suns All-Star forward Kevin Durant is shunning NBA icons in favor of a mix of young guns and a former teammate and league MVP for his dream Thanksgiving backyard 4-on-4 touch football squad. Speaking on the Up & Adams Show with Kay Adams on Thursday, 'KD' was asked which players he would pick to comprise his dream All-NBA 4-on-4 touch football squad.

He named rising stars Jalen Suggs of the Orlando Magic as his quarterback, Scoot Henderson of the Portland Trail Blazers as running back, and Victor Wembanyama of the San Antonio Spurs as wide receiver. They were joined by his former OKC Thunder partner Russell Westbrook as the flex.

In coming up with his team, Kevin Durant shared he was going beyond having just an all-icon crew but more of what the players could actually bring to the game.

The two-time NBA champion said:

"My quarterback will be Jalen Suggs. Hell of a quarterback in high school, play for the Orlando Magic, 6'3", 6'4", athletic, Can jump, run, he can do it all. I'm taking Jalen Suggs. Alright my running back, I'm going Scoot Henderson. These dudes are athletic, you got to check them out, too. You can't just look at the LeBrons, the Stephs, the Giannis...
"My wide receiver is Wembanyama... You have to know Wemby. My flex? I'm gonna have to go with an OG, who's still at his athletic peak, in my opinion, and go Russell Westbrook."

Touch football game is a tradition in most American households during Thanksgiving Day, which was celebrated on Thursday.

Kevin Durant relished playing alongside LeBron James and Steph Curry with Team USA

Kevin Durant may not have LeBron James and Steph Curry in his dream 4-on-4 touch football team but he did sure enjoy going into battle with them on Team USA at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.

The three legends, joined by nine other NBA stars, bannered the United States in this year's edition of the Summer Games, where they swept their way to the gold medal.

In an interview with ESPN, while they were preparing for the Games back in July, Kevin Durant shared his thoughts on playing alongside James and Curry, impressed and inspired that they continue to play at such a high level at this point of their careers.

"These guys are still playing at an elite level. I feel like Bron could play four or five more [years]. He might be here in [the] 2028 [Olympics] in Los Angeles. Steph still playing great ball. I'm doing alright too..."
