Trae Young's father Ray was seemingly inspired by Jayson Tatum's title celebrations with his son Deuce. Ray expects to see Trae do the same thing with his kids Tydus and Teal soon with the Atlanta Hawks. The team currently owns the first overall pick in this year's NBA draft.

In a post on his official X account, Ray shared his happiness on seeing Jayson give Deuce an unforgettable memory by including him in the championship celebrations. It gives the former Texas Tech standout a lot of hope for his son and grandkids to replicate the feat.

"Naw, I can't wait to see my grandkids doing this with Trae…🏀❤️💯🙏🏽 @ATLHawks @NBA," Ray wrote.

The Boston Celtics won their first NBA championship since 2008 and 18th overall on Monday in front of their fans. They defeated the Dallas Mavericks in five games with Jayson Tatum as the team's best player in the title-clinching game. However, Jaylen Brown was named the NBA Finals MVP.

Trae Young in trade rumors entering the offseason

The Atlanta Hawks got lucky in the NBA Draft Lottery and won the first overall pick. The Hawks have a chance of making some changes toward a rebuild or continue surrounding Trae Young with the right pieces. Dejounte Murray was linked to a lot of trade rumors at the deadline, but the Hawks decided to stay put.

Entering the offseason, Young's name has also been linked to a potential trade to teams such as the San Antonio Spurs and LA Lakers. The Hawks superstar was previously signed to Klutch Sports but left the agency last month. The Spurs need a point guard to play alongside Victor Wembanyama and take the team to the next level.

San Antonio owns two first-round picks in this year's draft, which they could technically put in a package to acquire Young. However, Jake Fischer of Yahoo! Sports reported that the Spurs are not interested in acquiring the three-time All-Star.

Trae Young believes the Hawks could have won the championship in 2021

Trae Young and the Atlanta Hawks were the most surprising teams in the 2021 NBA playoffs. The Hawks eliminated the New York Knicks in the first round despite being the lower seed. They then shocked the top-seeded Philadelphia 76ers in seven games.

However, the Hawks ran into problems with the Milwaukee Bucks plus the injury to Young didn't help their run. The sharpshooting guard thought that they could have won the title if he didn't get hurt against the Bucks.

"I ain't going to lie, we definitely would have won our first 'chip. I don't even want to talk about it, because it's so hard to get back to that moment. You just fight that feeling that you had your chance. ... Getting hurt was not the best feeling because I definitely felt like we had a chance and we were on a run and we were feeling good," Young said on 'From the Point' podcast. [H/T Sports Illustrated]
