Carmelo Anthony was a major talking point online after his 'coaching' antics while sitting courtside with Team USA during the 2024 Paris Olympics. However, the future Hall of Famer touched on how his time at the Games got to be a learning experience for his son.

During his playing days, Anthony was a key member of the United States' basketball program. He represented his country in the Olympics four times from 2004 to 2016. In that time, he racked up three gold medals and one bronze.

This summer, Anthony was seen coaching players from the sidelines. When he wasn't shouting at the superstars on the court, he was walking through the action with his son Kiyan. During a recent episode of his "7PM in Brooklyn" podcast, the Denver Nuggets legend touched on the key takeaway he gave his son:

"I think the seriousness of how you have to play the right way in order to win," Anthony said. "He's seeing the game and he's hearing the game totally different."

When Carmelo Anthony announced his retirement from the NBA, his son Kiyan played a major role in the decision. With him starting his own journey to the pros, the 10-time All-Star felt it was time to pass the torch and embrace his role as a parent.

Last week, the former New York Knicks star made an appearance on the "Meet the Afroballers" podcast. Among the things brought up in the interview was Kiyan and his growth as an athlete. Anthony went on to admit that it can be hard as times as his son continues to develop:

"It's hard," Anthony said. "For me with Ki it's more allowing him to go through his own journey and develop and understand like you still have develop cognitive skills too, your physical level got to develop. Everything has to develop.
"You shouldn't feel pressure. Let me feel the pressure to do what I got to do as a parent," he added.

Regarding his future, Kiyan has an important decision to make soon. Even though he's received multiple offers, the young guard still hasn't committed to a college yet. However, he has narrowed down his list of options to six schools:
