Anthony Davis had the LA Lakers back on the winning track after another 40-point performance on Sunday against the Memphis Grizzlies. The Lakers were almost flawless in their 116-110 win at the Crypto.com Arena. Lakers fans lauded Davis for his output, but some can't even help taking shots at LeBron James.

Davis finished the game with 40 points, 16 rebounds, two assists and two steals on 15-for-22 shooting. He made one 3-point shot and went 9-for-12 from the charity stripe. He dominated the Grizzlies in the paint, with Jaren Jackson Jr. and Brandon Clark having no answer.

James returned from a two-game absence and had a good game less than two weeks before turning 40 years old. He had 18 points, eight rebounds and eight assists in 34 minutes. The Lakers improved to 14-12 for the season, but they are just in 10th place in the Western Conference standings.

Anthony Davis has been the LA Lakers' best player this season, so it wasn't surprising to see him take over a game. Nevertheless, fans are still in awe of what AD can do when he's motivated and wants to win. Others also can't help taking a shot at LeBron James despite his best efforts.

"Carrying LeBron like he always been done," a fan wrote.
"Trade LeBron. AD's got this," one fan opined.
"He's definitely back in the MVP conversation now. The best big man when he's playing like this," another fan claimed.

The LA Lakers have hit several bumps on the road this month, falling in the standings. Anthony Davis had some dud performances, while LeBron James showed signs of finally slowing down. AD was even an MVP candidate in the early parts of the season.

"The Brow was unstoppable, pure dominance on both ends of the floor," a fan commented.
"Great game AD. Can we do this on the road at some point?" one fan asked.
"He's a fantastic player, but he still has too many phone-it-in games," another fan remarked.

Davis averaging 27.8 points, 11.4 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 1.2 steals and 2.0 blocks per game this season. He has also stayed relatively healthy with just one missed game so far.

The LA Lakers are far too familiar with Anthony Davis going down with an injury. Davis suffered a shoulder injury in the third quarter and had to exit the game. He headed back to the locker room, causing a lot of concern for the fanbase.

However, AD returned and played the rest of the fourth quarter to help the Lakers secure the win. He told reporters after the game that he's just feeling sore and there's nothing to worry about.

His status for the Lakers' next game on Thursday against the Sacramento Kings is worth monitoring.
