Shohei Ohtani made MLB history in the Los Angeles Dodgers' matchup versus the Miami Marlins on Thursday night, becoming the first player in MLB history to crack the '50-50' club.

Ohtani eclipsed both 50 steals and 50 home runs with his effort versus Miami, securing the record with a seventh-inning homer. Ohtani finished the game batting 6-6, with three home runs, two stolen bases and 10 RBIs.

Dodgers part-owner and Los Angeles Lakers legend Magic Johnson congratulated Ohtani with a celebratory post on X, formerly Twitter.

"On behalf of the @Dodgers' ownership group, I want to congratulate Shohei on being the 1st in MLB History to have a 50/50 season! Dodger fans, we got a chance to be a part of MLB history."

Magic Johnson bought his stake in the Dodgers with his investment group in 2012 and likes what he sees from Shohei Ohtani and the Dodgers.

Magic Johnson wasn't the only NBA player to give props to Ohtani for his historic mark. One Philadelphia 76ers star offered his props to the Japanese phenom upon founding the 50-50 club.

After Magic Johnson, Joel Embiid lauds Shohei Ohtani for creating MLB history

The NBA's 2022-23 MVP and 76ers star Joel Embiid crowned Shohei Ohtani as the 'GOAT' after his historic game in Miami.

"Yup Ohtani is the GOAT," Embiid wrote on X.

Joel Embiid has been public about his Dodgers fandom for years. In 2017, Embiid made an appearance at Game 5 of the World Series, wearing a custom Dodgers jersey with his last name and his No. 21.

Much like his 'GOAT' pick, Joel Embiid has worked to build his historic resume in his respective sport and is set to enter his ninth NBA season in 2024-25. Despite missing time with injuries last season, Embiid posted 34.7 points, 11.0 rebounds and 5.6 assists per game.

Embiid has racked up seven NBA All-Star appearances, five All-NBA selections, three All-Defensive selections, two scoring titles and one MVP award in his nine-year career.
