NBA legend turned analyst Charles Barkley roasted rapper Lil Dicky for his pick on who he thought the NBA champions would be this year. Lil Dicky, also known by his real name Dave Burd, has a net worth of $12 million, per Celebrity Net Worth.

The rapper was a guest on the first episode of Jason Kelce's "They Call It Late Night" show on Saturday. When Kelce mentioned that Lil Dicky was a die-hard Philadelphia 76ers fan, Barkley quickly interjected:

"Well you're going to die," Barkley said at 4:49.

Lil Dicky then revealed that he bet $750 on the Sixers to become the next NBA champions. He went on to explain that he still believes in the Sixers despite the fact that they have not been able to make a deep playoff run in the Joel Embiid era. Again, Barkley roasted Lil Dicky for betting on the team.

Charles Barkley calls out JJ Redick and Lakers

In an episode of "Inside the NBA" in late December 2024, Charles Barkley called out JJ Redick for deciding to coach the LA Lakers this season. Since winning the championship in 2020, the Lakers struggled to replicate the success they achieved. The Purple and Gold have gone through a plethora of transformations in their lineups and even their coaching staff.

With that in mind, Charles Barkley believes that it'll be the same story for head coach JJ Redick. Chuck noted how Redick wants to make a change with the Lakers, especially in today's NBA product wherein the ratings are much lower compared to before.

"“[Redick] said something about, ‘We’re the reasons people ain’t watching this crappy product we got,’ like we out there jacking up a hundred 3s a night,” Barkley said. “JJ, you come for the king you better not miss, because I can get you brother."
"Remember, I got your Lakers’ games," Barkley continued. "You can’t hide them flaws they got. You just a dead man walking. They got rid of Frank Vogel, who did a good job. They got rid of Darvin Ham, who did a good job. But you came out there thinking you were gonna change things with that same ugly girl you went on a date with.”

Looking at where the LA Lakers stand in the second week of January 2025, they're currently 20-14, tied with the Denver Nuggets in fourth place in the Western Conference.

They are on a two-game winning streak after beating the Blazers and the Hawks and have won four of their last five games. Given this recent run, coach JJ Redick seems to be on the right path to making the Purple and Gold a better team.
